After years of living in the city, we decided we wanted a few acres because Rachel had developed a spinning hobby and wanted to raise a few goats for fiber. It didn't take long before we realized we could do more and we began to raise chickens and grow some herbs and vegetables. We were amazed at the difference that raising and eating our own food made in our lives.
We had been shareholders in a dairy herd and were already sold on the taste and health benefits of raw milk, so it just seemed logical to produce our own. We got our dairy cow in the summer of 2010 and added dairy products to the other things we are producing.
We love our animals and are so grateful for the gifts they give us every day and we look forward to sharing those gifts with you!
